Transcend has launched in India its latest ultra-tiny USB flash drive, the JetFlash T3. Weighing only 2g, the compact JetFlash T3 is designed to be extra-rugged. Transcend’s T3 comes in 1 GB and 2 GB versions.

The flash drive can fit into any USB slot and works with Transcend’s JetFlash elite data management tools that run directly from the T3 without having to install any software on the PC. The JetFlash T3’s durability and tiny footprint allows it to be carried in places where ordinary flash drives do not fit. BenQ has unveiled a 14.1” UltraVivid widescreen display notebook, “Joybook R43″. The new notebook features a new and smart design. The notebook is equipped with a vivid 14.1” widescreen LCD panel, T7100 Core 2 Duo processor, SiS Mirage 3+ chipset, Bluetooth , WiFi, DVD Burner drive, up to 2GB DDR2 667MHz RAM & 160GB HDD.

Thanks to QData Trove technology, it can take a backup of the entire system drive just with the single press of Alt and F10 keys. The Joybook R43 is also outfitted with BenQ’s QData Trove technology that ensures information security. With a single press of Alt and F10 keys, a backup of the entire system drive can be initiated into a single designated image file.

With dimensions of 330 x 252 x 37.5 mm and weight of around 2kg (without battery), the notebook comes pre-installed with Windows Vista OS.

The new Joybook R43 possesses the unique ornamental band imprinted on the lid with Laminar Film technology, users can see points of illumination appear, particularly when the ambient light is low. The nocturnal urban feel is extended when users open the lid, displaying a luminous blue-lit power button and indicator lights. Epson India launches large format 8-colour professional printers in India.

Epson has launched three large format, 8-color professional production printers in India. The three printers, i.e.17-inch Epson Stylus Pro 4880, the 24-inch Epson Stylus Pro 7880 and the 44-inch Epson Stylus Pro 9880 feature the Epson UltraChrome K3 Ink with Vivid Magenta technology. Epson UltraChrome™ K3 Ink is the standard by which all other professional-level ink technologies are measured.

The Epson large format printer range offers superior media flexibility, and is compatible with a wide range of Epson paper up to 1.5mm in thickness. Glossy paper, matte paper, matte board, fine art paper and plain paper are all supported.The new 8-colour large format printers, comes standard with a roll holder and cut sheet support. Thus users can expect a wide color gamut, replicating colors with accuracy, high color stability and consistency, durability and the ability to negate metameris and bronzing effects.

Seagate Unveils One Terabyte Hard Drives in India

Seagate, worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of hard disc drives, has announced the launch of their 1 Terabyte (1000 GB capacity hard drive) Barracuda ES.2 and Barracuda 7200.11 in the Indian market. It feature 7,200-rpm spin speeds, average seek times of 8.5ms, and caches up to 32MB. The new drives pack 1 TB of data on four disks to provide cool operating temperatures and low power consumption to help extend drive life.

The Barracuda ES.2 is intended to be optimized for demanding business-critical and nearline enterprise storage environments. It features RVFF (Rotational Vibration Feed Forward) system, designed to sustain performance in densely packed multi-drive systems. Barracuda ES.2 also features Seagate’s PowerTrim technology, which enables the hard drive to deliver a 20 per cent reduction in overall drive power consumption and a 55 per cent reduction in watts-per-gigabyte.

Dell introduces all-in-one, XPS One PC!

Dell finally revealed an all-in-one XPS One PC that combines the monitor and CPU in one box. This product which is said to be a rival to both the Gateway One as well as the Apple iMac., is all set to compete against the two companies. Dell XPS One is available in four designs, namely the Essential One, the Music One, the Performance One and the Entertainment One. Thus, the name of the design of XPS One simply describes the target audience.

The Dell All-in-One systems will be available in 20-inch display, Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Windows Vista Home Premium, hard drives starting at 250GB, 2GB of memory, a TV tuner and remote control. The XPS One contains some components typically found in laptops — a 2.0-Mpixel camera, an array microphone, glass LCD, and an Mobile PCI Express (MXM) graphics card module — plus desktop performance. In all models, the display measures 20 inches, while the included processor is either an Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 or E6550. Two gigabytes of RAM come standard.

The Dell Essential One is a high-end PC which offers the convenience of one cord. The Music One comes bundled with wireless headphones.
