Toshiba announces W-QUXGA, 22 inches monitor

Toshiba announced a new 22.2 inches PC LCD monitor, QUXGA-W LCD with a resolution of 3,840×2,400 pixels. It is said to be four times as sharp as typically larger 1920×1200 displays and even sharper than the 1680×1050 images often generated by LCDs at the same size. This gives it a 200DPI density closer to that of photo paper with a full 16.7 million colors.

The Toshiba monitor is with a pixel pitch of 0.1245mm (200dpi). Moreover, it comes with a DVI-D (24-pin) 2channel interface and supports Windows XO operating system. A dedicated graphics card is also sold separately. Read more… »

Samsung launches SyncMaster- 920BM, 920WM and 2220WM Monitors

Samsung Electronics America, Inc., announced its SyncMaster series of LCD displays with three new displays i.e. 920BM, 920WM both 19-inch monitors and 2220WM widescreen monitor.

All of the new monitors boast built-in speakers, which can either save consumers the cost of buying them separately, or save space on a desk by allowing them to ditch stand-alone speakers. Thus they are ideal for users looking for a compact solution. All three LCDs also share in common technologies which Samsung says deliver enhanced performance and image quality - an example of this is a response time of 5ms GTG.

The 920WM and 2220WM monitors have a 16:10 wide-screen format resulting in improved work efficiency, by supporting the multiple application windows simultaneously and resolutions of 1440 x 900 and 1680 x 1050, respectively. Read more… »
