MapmyIndia, an Indian navigable map data provider, has launched GPS-based in-car navigation devices. The two models of MapmyIndia Navigator -Delphi Nav 200 and AMAX 06GP5A - use satellites to determine the location. While entering any destination across India, the MapmyIndia Navigator will guide you to your destination with visual map instructions supported by voice prompts.

The Navigator offers complete coverage of streets, localities, sub-localities, and points of interest in 18 major cities as well as access to 55,000 towns and villages connected by national and state highways, important landmarks within 150 cities and 200,000 tourist and business points of interest across the country.

Blaupunkt has announced the TravelPilot Lucca 3.5, a circular GPS unit. It is presently aimed for Europe’s roads. This TravelPilot Lucca 3.5 features a 3.5-inch LCD, a Centrality Atlas III Dual Core 400MHz processor, detailed mapping of the UK and Ireland, major European roads, and detailed European mapping available at extra cost.

It also has a SD/SDHC/MMC slot, and locations of speed traps to save you a ticket.
It calculates the quickest, shortest and optimal route in record time and it even overlooks typing mistakes in the destination input. To make sure that nothing else can hold you back, there’s also dynamic routing around traffic congestion on the route up ahead. And you are warned of traffic congestion even when route guidance is not activated.
