Sanyo has announced a new model of voice recorder, Diply Talk ICR-PS390RM which is said to be the world’s highest capacity voice recorder. While 8GB may be standard fare for MP3 players, but it’s a big deal in the MP3 recorder industry.

Panasonic today introduced a next-generation Blu-ray player which is said to be the first with the format’s Final Standard Profile feature. The DMP-BD30, which replaces the $599 DMP-BD10, will be the industry’s first player to use support Final Standard Profile.

Final Standard Profile is an advanced function added to the Blu-ray standard, which opens the door to new functions such as Picture-in-Picture (which displays a second image in a sub window) and Audio Mixing (allows the consumer to switch the sound between the main and sub windows). It is also the first Blu-ray deck to also feature the inclusion of an SD card slot for playback of high-definition content recorded in the AVCHD format. The new device has been named “Sansa TakeTV”, and this new player will work like a USB drive, allowing users to download their favourite content from the internet with TakeTV device and then to play the downloaded content on a television set through standard audio/video sockets.
Sansa TakeTV is the most easy-to-use, solution for watching downloaded personal video content and other shows in the comfort of the living room. It is available in two versions, 4GB and 8GB. Actor Katrina Kaif unveiled Philips Electronics India’s first ever Diamond-encrusted Ambilight FlatTV. The HDTV features 225 carats of close to 2,250 individual diamonds set in a floral pattern around the edges of the frame. It is created in conjunction with New York-based jeweller, A Link, and is the most expensive television yet, valued at around $150,000 or Rs. 60,00,000 (Sixty Lakh rupees). Yes, you read it correct!
