BenQ has unveiled a 14.1” UltraVivid widescreen display notebook, “Joybook R43″. The new notebook features a new and smart design. The notebook is equipped with a vivid 14.1” widescreen LCD panel, T7100 Core 2 Duo processor, SiS Mirage 3+ chipset, Bluetooth , WiFi, DVD Burner drive, up to 2GB DDR2 667MHz RAM & 160GB HDD.
Thanks to QData Trove technology, it can take a backup of the entire system drive just with the single press of Alt and F10 keys. The Joybook R43 is also outfitted with BenQ’s QData Trove technology that ensures information security. With a single press of Alt and F10 keys, a backup of the entire system drive can be initiated into a single designated image file.
With dimensions of 330 x 252 x 37.5 mm and weight of around 2kg (without battery), the notebook comes pre-installed with Windows Vista OS.
The new Joybook R43 possesses the unique ornamental band imprinted on the lid with Laminar Film technology, users can see points of illumination appear, particularly when the ambient light is low. The nocturnal urban feel is extended when users open the lid, displaying a luminous blue-lit power button and indicator lights. This ornamental band design was inspired with Laminar Film technology to outline a great metropolis’ skyline in pop art style. Users will be able to see points of illumination appear in the low light.
The R43 ships first in China next month but will be available in other areas in the next few months.
