Dell introduces all-in-one, XPS One PC!

Dell finally revealed an all-in-one XPS One PC that combines the monitor and CPU in one box. This product which is said to be a rival to both the Gateway One as well as the Apple iMac., is all set to compete against the two companies. Dell XPS One is available in four designs, namely the Essential One, the Music One, the Performance One and the Entertainment One. Thus, the name of the design of XPS One simply describes the target audience.

The Dell All-in-One systems will be available in 20-inch display, Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Windows Vista Home Premium, hard drives starting at 250GB, 2GB of memory, a TV tuner and remote control. The XPS One contains some components typically found in laptops — a 2.0-Mpixel camera, an array microphone, glass LCD, and an Mobile PCI Express (MXM) graphics card module — plus desktop performance. In all models, the display measures 20 inches, while the included processor is either an Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 or E6550. Two gigabytes of RAM come standard.

The Dell Essential One is a high-end PC which offers the convenience of one cord. The Music One comes bundled with wireless headphones. The Performance One offers the best in performance with its high-speed processor and bundled Microsoft Office software, while the Entertainment One is a home media centre that features a Blu-ray Disc burner and an ATI HD 2400 Pro graphics card.Furthermore, all the devices has an integrated video card, 8-in-1 media reader and pre-installed Microsoft Office productivity software. Like the iMac or Gateway all-in-one PCs, Dell is touting the XPS One as a unified, space-saving experience.

Dell’s the Essential One, the Music One, the Performance One and the Entertainment One XPS PCs are priced at $1,499 (approx. Rs. 60,000), $1,748 (approx. Rs. 69,920), $1,999 (approx. Rs. 80,000) and $2,399 (approx. Rs. 92,000), respectively. Currently, these computers are available for purchase from Dell’s website. Otherwise, you will have to wait until November27, 2007 to actually buy this PC from retail stores.
