New York based, DG2L Technologies has launched entry-level set-top box, the N100 in India. It is priced at $35 (Rs. 1500/-) and has superior features than many other products in its category. DG2L’s STBs can be customized and used for cable, satellite, IPTV as well as terrestrial networks.

The N100 is a low-cost, high quality set top box and is a perfect starting point for introducing consumers to digital television. Ideal for entry-level applications such as free-to-air and pay television, it supports all DVB/MPEG-2 compliant transmissions. It delivers a good performance thanks to its 32-bit MIPS CPU. The N100 STB gives the consumers an easy route to production-ready, entry-level STB’s with complete hardware and software turnkey solutions for global digital satellite, cable and terrestrial operations.
The company is able to offer such a product at this price since its development center is in Pune, India. The customers will benefit from quicker turn around times and a robust support structure.
