Kingfisher Airlines has tied-up with PayMate (an indian wireless transaction company), to offer its customers the easiest way to book flight tickets — ‘FlyBuySms’.
‘FlyBuySms’ is an SMS-based service, which allows customers to search, book, and pay for their flight tickets using their mobiles. Customers can buy tickets using ‘FlyBuySms’, who first need to SMS ‘KING’, followed by the names of places of departure and destination, and date of travel to 5667711; for example FLY Delhi Mumbai 26Oct. Customers would then receive an SMS, with details of all Kingfisher flights on that sector, with complete departure/arrival/fare details. Customers need to reply to the SMS, indicating their desired flight to be booked.
PayMate users need to authorize their payment via SMS with their PayMate PIN, while non-PayMate users can pay through credit cards over an automatic IVR call-back. Customers would receive an SMS confirming the booking. option and name.
PayMate is a Mumbai based wireless transactions platform provider. PayMate has created a viable ecosystem to enable wireless transactions connecting banks, switches, merchants and customers using a simple, secure and seamless technology.
To use the PayMate services, all you need to have is a mobile phone and a credit or debit card account with one of their partner banks (Currently only for Citibank customers but other leading banks will soon offer PayMate too). You need not be a registered member of the PayMate. Your mobile is linked securely to existing bank account (credit or debit) and that’s where all your payments will be debited.
With this offering, customers will no longer be limited to Internet bookings or bookings via travel agents. It will be a truly anytime, anywhere experience targeted at anyone with a mobile handset.
